Reminder of Airspace Restrictions for Upcoming State Visit

Hello Resident,

A quick reminder thatWe wish to remind you that airspace restrictions will be in place over Windsor for the Nigerian President’s state visit on Wednesday.

These restrictions are a planned part of our security operation to help ensure the safety of everyone attending the event, along with the general public.

They will mean that aircraft including drones will not be permitted to fly in the restricted airspace area in and around Windsor tomorrow and Wednesday.

We will be taking a strong stance in enforcing the restrictions; anyone who breaches them will be committing a criminal offence under the Air Navigation Order and is likely to be arrested.

The airspace restrictions are one of many security measures we have to ensure the safety of the state visit; some of which you will see and others you will not.

You can help us to keep the town safe too so please report any suspicious activity or anything that doesn’tdoes not seem quite right via by calling 101 or by speaking to one of our officers. Call 999 in an emergency.
