Door to Door Scams |
||
|
Local police are warning residents about reports of door-to-door scams in the area. Offenders may knock on doors asking for money, personal details, or permission to take photographs of your home. They may claim to represent a charity, utility company, council service, surveyor, or repair service. Some may appear convincing and use official-looking clothing, badges, or paperwork.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Council staff, utility workers, and police officers will always carry identification - take time to check it and contact the organisation directly if unsure.
PROTECT YOURSELF WITH THESE TIPS: If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts.
If you are concerned: Call 999 if you feel threatened or believe a crime is in progress. Report suspicious activity to police on 101 or via the force website. You can also report scams to Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk
Your vigilance helps protect not only you, but your whole community. Stay safe
