Over the last few weeks we have seen a spike in domestic theft,

The villages most affected have been Filkins,Broadwell,Langford,Kencot,Taynton.

A mix of offences ranging from theft of quick cash items such as jewellery,and car theft.

Advice is to stay alert in your village,if you see anything out of place such as people observing properties,or if your aware of vacant second homes or empty properties due to holidays or working away these can all be an easy target.

Please make sure any valuables are locked away,check house security and if you are going to be away from your property perhaps consider CCTV linked to your phone.
