News Update from PCSO Jason Miller |
Resident Following reports of significant anti social behaviour in Maidenhead town centre earlier this evening at several stores PCSO's Miller and Churchward already on foot patrols nearby quickly located the group. They were causing further issues inside another High Street store. The group of 4 teenagers were abusive & obstructive, 2 managed to make off, the other 2 were detained under Section 50, Police Reform Act 2002.
Due to the situation escalating several officers deployed to the area after a further group became involved. The two teenagers had thought by providing false details to PCSO's this was going to be the end of it, however due to their poor behaviour this was going to end up one of 3 ways - being taken home by police, arrested or parents attending to collect them. Once several officers were on scene & a number of parents had arrived to take their children / teenagers away, the situation was deescalated with just one teenager being arrested on suspicion of public order - she is being issued with a community resolution disposal at Maidenhead Police Station.
Anti -social behaviour will not be tolerated, there is no excuse for it, if you are parents of teenagers & are not sure what they are doing when they are out with friends, please be aware & maybe have a chat with them to remind them - if they are involved in ASB or crime then you can expect to be contacted directly by police or have to attend the police station. We would rather not take teenagers into to custody & we hope this TV Alert sends out a clear message. | ||
