Section 60 order enacted in Bicester to prevent potential serious violence

We're emailing you to tell you that we have enacted a Section 60 order to prevent potential serious violence in Bicester. 

The order has been put in place in the town following the assault in Magdalen Close at around 6.30pm yesterday. 

The order will give our officers extra powers to carry out stop and search activity, and has been enacted for the safety of the public. 

The order will be in place for 24 hours and is due to expire at 4.30pm tomorrow, but could be extended for another day if deemed necessary. 

You will see more police officers in the area while the order is in place so please speak to them if you have any concerns.
