Burglary in Churchill |

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary that occurred on Hastings Hill between 11:00 and 13:30 hours during daylight hours. During this time, offenders gained entry to a property and stole cash and jewellery.
If you live in the area, please check any CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage for suspicious persons or vehicles during that time. Anyone with information is urged to contact police by calling 101 or reporting online at www.thamesvalley.police.uk, quoting reference 43250526723.
Crime prevention; Install a good-quality, professionally fitted burglar alarm. Make sure it’s visible and regularly serviced. Even a dummy alarm box can act as a deterrent. Consider installing CCTV or a video doorbell camera covering entrances and driveways. Make sure cameras are visible and recording. Use sensor or timer-controlled lighting to make your home look occupied when you’re out. Keep cash, jewellery and small electronics out of sight. If you have valuables at home, invest in a good-quality safe that’s properly anchored and hidden. Ensure all doors and windows are locked — even when you’re at home. Use approved locks (British Standard BS3621 or similar). Report any suspicious activity or unknown vehicles immediately. Get to know your neighbours and look out for each other. | ||
