On Friday PCSO' Knight & Miller took part in a Roads Policing Operdtion to target criminals using the roads & persons driving with No Insurance etc. along with others from the NHPT team, Roads Policing teams. The day long Operation was a good success, throughout the day 6 vehicles were seized for No Insurance and other offences with most drivers being reported to court. There was also lots of fixed penalties issued for other driving offences such as not wearing a seat belt etc. We also managed to have a foot chase with a male who was wanted for failing to appear at court x 3, he was cornered & arrested near York Stream with help from RBWM CCTV.
On Saturday PCSO's Welnitz, Miller & others from NHPT team attended reports of issues on High Street along with PC Phillips and PD Arnie from dog section. Several teenagers were stop searched with 4 males being found in possession of cannabis (all will be dealt with slow time & with parents present) One other was arrested on suspicion of a Robbery offence & taken home pending further enquiries (stolen items quickly returned) Later in the evening PCSO Miller had another foot chase with a wanted female into Kidwells Park where she was quickly apprehended by PC Taylor & PCSO Harris (already in park on foot patrols) she has been recalled to prison.
On Sunday PCSO Miller carried out patrols around town centre and located a local man wanted for breaching a court order, he was arrested by response officers & taken to custody. Several of us also did foot patrols of Kidwells Park at approx 10p.m.in the thick fog, no issues to report.
This is just a snippet of what we've been up to over the last 3 days.
PLEASE REMEMBER OPPORTUNIST THIEVES ARE ABOUT - DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLES & CHECK ITS LOCKED WHEN YOU PARK.
Also use a timer switch on a light if you are coming home in the dark to make it appear someone is home.
