Hello Resident, We are urging people to remain vigilant following a report of Nottingham Knockers in Windsor
This involves normally a group of males sometimes females that have been dropped off in an area and have bags that have household cleaning goods inside that they will try and sell. The person that knocks on your door will tell you a story that they have recently come out of prison, they are trying to make some money so they can go and look after their children, trying to turn their life's around. They will keep you talking and then offer what they are selling from dusters, tea-towels, cleaning products and they will make a sale.
Whenever you get an unexpected knock on the door, please check to see who is on the other side of your door before opening it. Either look through a side window, look through a spy hole, or simply ask out loud who it is. If you do not know them, establish who they are and what they are there for before you open the door. Please remember, if the cold caller sales are unsuccessful, they are unlikely to return in future.
