Update on unexplained death – Tilehurst

Hello Resident,

Following an investigation by our Major Crime Unit, an unexplained death in Tilehurst has been determined as not suspicious.

The next of kin of the woman who sadly died after an incident on the riverbank on Sunday have now been informed; we are supporting them at this extremely difficult time.

The man who was arrested has now been released without charge. No one else is being sought in connection with the death.

The scene by the riverbank has been stood down too. Thank you to everyone affected for their patience and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
