We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Faringdon.

At around 4.40pm on Thursday, the driver of a white Citroen van mounted the pavement on Ferndale Street after an elderly man made a passing comment to the driver. 

The van driver then stopped and had an altercation with the elderly man. When he got back in his van, he drove up to a woman in her twenties driving her car and spat out his window at her before driving away.

The offender is described as a bald, white man in his forties, of medium build, with tattoos on his neck and wearing black clothes.
