Maidenhead Central News

Resident

Hello, hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather,? with the next few days expected to be very hot please keep a look out for elderly and or vulnerable neighbours, family or friends and please don't leave animals in hot vehicles.

Here is a few snippets of what we've been up to. One stolen moped was pulled over, recovered and returned to the grateful owner in Bridge Road.

PCSO's Miller and Knight attended Maidenhead Mosque on Friday for the busy lunch time prayers, we were joined by PC Jenkins - one illegally adapted E- bike was seized for destruction and we had good engagement with many attendees of all ages.

PCSO's Miller and Knight attended the Big Sunday Funday yesterday behind the police station, along with 2 Specials.

We engaged with hundreds of people, showing them around our police vehicles, giving out crime prevention material & stickers to children.

These events are important at building trust and confidence, especially among Seldom Heard communities & also involved giving out advice about crime and also recruitment.

A number of suspects for different offences have been identified by us and these will hopefully result in arrests and convictions in the next few weeks for crimes such as auto crime, frauds, racially aggravated public order and shop thefts.

In Neighbourhood Policing every day is different, from helping victims, investigating crime and ASB, safeguarding vulnerable people, community engagement, patrols and much much more.

Be mindful about leaving windows wide open and remove all valuables from vehicles when you park up.

Summer is a very busy time for policing

Stay safe.
