Appeal following serious injury collision – Maidenhead

Dear resident, 

We are appealing for witnesses following a collision in which a woman sustained life-threatening injuries in Maidenhead.

Between 5pm and 5.15pm on Wednesday 16 July there was a collision involving a silver Mercedes van and a pedestrian in the Tesco Express car park on Furze Platt Road.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s from Maidenhead, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she remains. 

We have arrested a 56-year-old man from Maidenhead on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving. He has been released from police custody but remains under investigation pending further enquiries.
