Community Alert Following Concerning Incident on Greys Road – Public Asked to Stay Vigilant Henley-on-Thames, 26 July 2025 — Residents are being urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour following a concerning incident that took place late on the evening of Friday, 25 July 2025, near Makins Recreation Ground. At approximately 11:25 PM, a member of the public was driving on Greys Road when they were suddenly approached by an unknown man who ran out from the direction of Makins Recreation Ground. The individual confronted the driver in an aggressive and verbally abusive manner, shouting through the windscreen without any clear provocation or motive. The driver, who was alone at the time, remained inside the vehicle and did not engage. After the suspect initially walked away, he was spotted again a short while later nearby, but he did not re-approach. No physical contact was made, and no damage occurred; however, the incident left the driver feeling frightened and vulnerable. Description of the Suspect: This incident serves as a reminder to the community to remain alert, particularly in the evening and when alone. While isolated, the nature of the encounter is a cause for concern, and members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or individuals immediately to Thames Valley Police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
