E-Scooters Reminder

Please be aware that privately owned E-scooters are illegal to use in public areas including roads and footpaths.    This is because you cannot get insurance for them and E-scooters are classed as a motor vehicle, like a car or motorbike.     Due to the ongoing concern they cause to other road users and pedestrians Thames Valley Police will now be seizing them.    If your E-scooter is seized you will not be able to get it back as they will be disposed of under S.165A/B Road Traffic Act 1988.  These seizures include E-scooters being ridden by children so please do not let your child ride them in public.

This does not apply to those being used as part of a rental scheme.

Thank you
