Hello from the Aylesbury Neighbourhood Town Centre Team 👋

We want to thank everyone who came forward recently to report concerns about a man involved in aggressive begging in Aylesbury Town Centre. Your information has been incredibly helpful.

This individual was targeting vulnerable and elderly members of the public, and often reacted with shouting or swearing when refused money. We also received reports of him pressuring people into handing over money after walking them to his home.

Thanks to your reports:
✅ A Community Protection Notice was issued
✅ A public appeal helped generate seven formal crime reports
✅ The male was arrested and charged with seven public order offences
✅ We’ve now applied for a Criminal Behaviour Order
✅ And we’re working closely with the local council on further action
