We just wanted to let you know that we are carrying out enquiries in Aylesbury today following a fire at a residential property overnight.

Officers responded to the fire on Bicester Road at 11.08pm last night (23/6), alongside Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service colleagues.

A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. We have also made an arrest in connection with this incident.

We would like to reassure you that we believe this to be an isolated incident and an investigation is underway.

Officers will remain in the area today carrying out enquiries. We are working to support local residents who have been impacted, alongside Buckinghamshire Council. We urge anyone with questions, concerns or information to please come and speak to officers at the scene today.
