We are appealing for witnesses after a blue Mazda 2 TS hit a building on Shirelake Close, Oxford, at around 3.50am today.

Only the driver, a 21-year-old man, was hurt; he was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and criminal damage and taken to hospital. He has since been discharged and taken to police custody, where he remains.

Partial road closures were put in place as the collision caused significant damage, while the scene was made safe and repairs were made, but these have been lifted.
