Thames Valley Police are aware of an increased number of reports of thefts from motor vehicles in Middleton and the surrounding areas.

Please continue to check that your vehicle is securely locked, and that the windows are closed. Remember to remove all valuables from your vehicle, keeping anything well hidden and out of view.

If you have a video doorbell or CCTV camera covering your driveway or property, ensure that it is fully charged, and free from dust or cobwebs that can often affect the quality of image at night time. Low cost, battery powered doorbells and cameras are readily available online or from retailers, and can provide a great deterrent to potential opportunist thieves.
