Dear Residents of Monkston,

We’ve noticed an increase in vehicle interference and thefts from motor vehicles in the area recently. To keep yourselves and your belongings safe, please take the following precautions:

 

🚗 Vehicle Safety Tips:

  • Always lock your car doors and close windows fully.
  • Avoid leaving valuables visible inside your vehicle.
  • Park in well-lit, busy areas whenever possible.
  • Consider installing a car alarm or steering lock.

  • Purchase a Faraday Pouch to prevent theft of keyless cars.

     

    • 📹 Ring Doorbell & CCTV Advice:

  • Ensure your Ring doorbell is fully charged or connected to a reliable power source so it doesn’t go offline when needed most. 🔋
  • Position your doorbell and cameras in clear, unobstructed spots to capture effective footage — avoid placing them behind plants or objects that block the view. 🌳🚫

  • Regularly check your camera’s angle and recording settings to ensure full coverage.

     

    • If you see any suspicious activity happening, please report it immediately to TVP via 999.
