Motorcycle Thefts in Buckingham

Over the weekend, police recieved four reports of stolen motorbikes in the Buckingham area - specifically on Nelson Street, Fishers Field, and Oswald Way. While all stolen bikes have been located discarded, they have unfortunately sustained damage.

We are asking residents to remain vigilant and take extra precautions to prevent further thefts. Here are some security tips to help keep your motorbike safe:

Use High Quality Locks - a combination of a heavy-duty chain and a disc lock can deter thieves.

Park in well-lit, secure areas whenever possible, ideally in a garage or behind locked gates.

Consider an alarm or tracking device to enhance security and assist recovery if stolen.

Be aware of suspicious activity - if you see someone behaving oddly around motorbikes, report it.

Officers are continuing to investigate these incidents, and we are encouraging anyone with information to come forward. This can be done either by calling 101 or via the Thames Valley Police website.

If you notice any suspicious behaviour please contact us on 999 if it is happening at that time.

Thank you for your assistance.
