Hello Resident,

Over the course of the last few weeks, Wokingham North NHPT have been out and about across their respective areas including Winnersh, Woodley, Earley and Twyford assisting and engaging in a range of ways.  As ever we welcome your views, feedback and any reports not quite 101 or 999 using the linked surveys below.  If you see us out and about in your area – come say hi!

To highlight a few, as well as our regular duties officers;

💂 PCSO’s Elson, Brown, Ispas, Hobart, Leightley, along with PC Zecca attended Windsor Guard, for Changing of the Guard duties.

🔎 PC Young and PCSO Brown hosted a ‘CSI Day’ at Sonning Primary School – here we talked about the range of different forensic science techniques and throughout the day the children did fingerprinting, chromatography, invisible inks and footwear impressions.

❗ PC Young held a focus group at Piggott’s School around the dangers and risks of knife crime – this included using the Virtual Reality headsets to deliver the message in a more impactful way.  

👮 PC Young and Special PC Berry held a presentation at a Cyber Security business to discuss volunteering for the police – if you have time to share with us and wish to explore more about the opportunities available please visit the TVP website for details.

👜 Thanks to cross-working between NHPT (Neighbourhood Team) and Incident Response (ICR) a prolific shoplifter was arrested and charged for numerous shoplifting offences impacting Earley and Reading convenience stores.

♥️ PCSO’s Elson and Ispas were called for an Action Fraud incident involving a vulnerable adult.  We are taking the necessary steps to ensure the correct authorities are in place to provide the continuous support required and remove the risk of fraud exposure.

🗣️ PCSO’s Ispas and Elson hosted a number of Have Your Say events and coffee mornings around Earley, including the Samaritans.  Look out for the next Have Your Say event as these provide a way to meet your local NHPT Team who want to hear your concerns so that we can work to make your community safer for you.  As an additional engagement, A Bike Marking event was held to register bikes to deter bike theft in Earley.

🧹 All of Wokingham North NHPT got involved with knife sweeps across the area.
