Were you in the Steventon or Drayton areas between 10pm and midnight on Tuesday 20 May?

At around 10.15pm that night, three men assaulted a man in his forties on Castle Street, Steventon. The men then forced the victim into a grey/silver convertible BMW being driven by a woman. The men then forced the victim out of the vehicle in Drayton and assaulted him again before driving off. The victim suffered serious injuries.

We understand this incident may cause some concern but we believe it was a targeted incident and the people involved know each other so there is no threat to the wider public.

We appreciate it has been nine days since the incident but we believe there are people in the community who saw what happened or have information about it who are yet to speak to police.
