We are appealing for information and any CCTV for the following incident in Datchet. There have been multiple reports of teenagers throwing water balloons and spraying water from water guns. They have been directing them at cars driving past. These have been reported between 30/04/25 and 03/05/25 and occurred on DITTON ROAD and LINCHFIELD ROAD. Spraying water and throwing water balloons at cars can be problematic and dangerous for several reasons: 1. Distraction and Safety Risks: It can distract drivers, potentially causing accidents. Sudden splashes of water might startle drivers, leading to loss of control. 2. Property Damage: Water can damage electronic components or personal items inside the vehicle, leading to potential civil liability for property damage. 3. Traffic Offences: Section 23 of the Road Traffic Act 1988-Causing danger to road-users. (1)A person is guilty of an offence if he intentionally and without lawful authority or reasonable cause— (a)causes anything to be on or over a road, or (b)interferes with a motor vehicle, trailer or cycle, or (c)interferes (directly or indirectly) with traffic equipment
