The risks of NOS

We have been seeing a big rise in the use of NOS.   I am aware of 3 people who have been partially paralysed by the use of this drug.  We are working with One Recovery Bucks who can help with people who have started using this.   The party image of balloons and NOS is a far cry from the permanent damage that this drug can do.

The drug can cause nerve damage, blood clots and can lead to strokes or lifetime mobility issues.  Whilst legislation has been changed recently it is a popular drug due to the instant hit, it not leaving tell tale smells alerting family members.   We are in talks with Buckinghamshire Council about the use of NOS bins or ways that people can discard found cannisters.

Our Aylesbury Colleagues did some great work with Stoke Mandeville Hospital and a former user to cover the hidden dangers of this drug.   If you are a parent or are using or thinking of using balloons please watch the video they created https://youtu.be/-iipPsZL5NU?si=X04WXTEKmhi-kBzI

Don't do it.
