Welcome to the latest End of Week (for us) update from your local Wokingham North Neighbourhood Policing Team (NHPT), covering Earley, Winnersh, Twyford and Woodley. If you need to share anything with us that isn’t 101 or 999 we support your feedback using the forms below. To report anything anonymously, contact CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
As well as our regular duties, officers;
💂 PCSO’s Leightley and Ispas, with PC D’Amaro attended Windsor for Changing of the Guard Duties.
🎒 PC D’Amaro with PCSO’s Elson, Ispas and Brown attended Hawkedon Primary School in Lower Earley to showcase ‘PC Ben’ and the kit and car. Plenty of enthusiastic questions were asked, and of course, the teacher was arrested (just for show!)
🗣️ PC Bogdanova attended the Annual Twyford Parish Council Meeting to hear and respond to concerns from the community.
🚶🏼 PCSO Brown and PC Bogdanova hosted a Walk and Talk session in Twyford, in company with Wokingham Borough Council and Parish councillors.
🚲 PCSO Sparks arranged a Bike Marking Event, held in Winnersh. A great turn out on what was a beautiful afternoon for it – stay tuned for a Bike Marking Event in another area soon…
🧤 PC Seymour and PC Lacey have been busy over in Woodley – with multiple Stop Searches around Southlake area due to an increased number of reports relating to drug usage. They seized cannabis on all occasions and issued offenders with cannabis warnings. It’s thanks to your reports that we know where to concentrate our efforts – be it drugs, or ASB – so please do get in touch in one of the many ways available and tell us what matters to you.
💰 As a team, the Woodley officers have stopped and detained 6 shoplifters over the course of this shift-set, with the goods being returned from where they came. This has led to the team proactively approaching other retailers across their area, to register them with a local shop-watch scheme, DISC – as a means to report crime and share information amongst retailers and police.
🎞️ PCSO’s Elson, Brown and Emmett retrieved a number of CCTV media for a range of reported incidents, pending investigations.
🏫 Sgt Botham and PC Young attended the Futures Convention at the Blue Coats school in Sonning. Students from Waingels, Piggott and Blue Coats were in attendance and explored many education and employment opportunities.
🚙 PC’s Simpson-Holland, Scullin and Saunders with a crew from TVP Roads Policing 🚔 conducted speed-checks along a highly reported road in Winnersh for excessive speed. Six (6) tickets were issued for excessive speed, one of whom was doing 62mph in a 30mph zone… ❗
…and much more.
Here are the your feedback surveys, we look forward to hearing from you…
