School talk

Dear Residents,

Yesterday, PCSO HILL and PCSO TITCOMBE completed a school talk at Iqra Primary School. We spoke to KS1 on stranger danger and briefly spoke about online safety; who safe strangers can be if they feel scared or hurt at home and need to speak to someone trustworthy. This talk was followed by educating KS2 on the impact of carrying a knife as well as other offensive weapons such as catapults.

We are aware that at the moment there has been a rise in young people using catapults to cause injury to animals. One way we are trying to tackle this issue is by informing young people about the consequences of carrying and using catapults in regards to the law.

Please feel free to get in contact with us if you would like us to come and give similar talks at other schools or youth clubs.
