Chief Constable commends officers and staff following murder of Reece Heffernan – Tilehurst

We are proud to share that two of our officers and a member of our staff have been recognised for their parts in a Major Crime Unit investigation following the murder of Recce Heffernan in Tilehurst.

Detective Superintendent Andy Howard, Detective Constable James Heath and Jon King received Chief Constable’s Commendations for their roles in the investigation into Reece’s murder in October 2021.

Det Supt Howard said: “I take a sense of pride in the work that the team by achieving justice for Reece, his family and friends and hopefully trying to provide some reassurance to the community.”
