Dear communities of Slough,

Over the last 3 months there have been some changes to the East Neighbourhood team. PC Rivett and PC Naplavova have moved on and PC Ewa Blazynska joined us on 3rd April. The team currently consists of -

SGT 6957 Vicky Shears

PC 7576 Natalie Boyd - Colnbrook

PC 8929 Ewa Blazynska – Langley

PC 8244 Jessica Ritchie – Langley

PCSO 9521 Terrie Lapworth

PCSO 9561 Danyal Ghazi

PCSO 9504 Molly Houlding

We are happy to say we have 4 more PC’s joining us in May 2024 but sadly PCSO Lapworth will be leaving in May to be a PCSO trainer.

We have a number of PC and PCSO vacancies currently which we are recruiting into: Join our team and help protect our communities. www.tvpcareers.co.uk

Theft from motor vehicles continues to be an issue in Langley. Crimes did decrease in February and early March but we have seen an increase again. We have posted crime prevention advice to residents on social media and we are investigating all crimes with lines of enquiry. We have increased patrols overnight in hotspot areas which have been identified from crime data. We have done a number of plain clothes patrols and drone patrols at night time.

Please email SloughNHPTMailbox@thamesvalley.police.uk if you have any information.

In Colnbrook we have conducted a site visit with the council and highways in relation to the car meets on Poyle Road. We have been speaking to local businesses and attending and dispersing the meets when they happen. We await an update from highways about what prevention measures can be put in place.

In Wexham we continue our extra patrols focusing on violence and knife crime. We conducted a successful drugs warrant at an address in Wexham and a male remains on bail for drug supply offences.

Neighbourhood’s general responsibilities

School Patrols

When possible, PCSOs will rotate around the schools on the area to provide hi-visibility presence at the beginning and end of the school days. They do various talks and presentations to pupils.

Community forums

We will attend any community forums/residents meetings so that we can understand what the community need. We will work with the community and other agencies to try to tackle problems raised.  So please feel free to contact us if you would like us to attend any of your events at SloughNHPTMailbox@thamesvalley.police.uk

Community Speedwatch

If you are concerned about road safety, specifically speeding in your area, then you can do something about it. communityspeedwatch.org is a nationwide initiative to involve communities in dealing with the endemic problem of speeding. Visit the website to find out more or sign up.

Patrol Plan

At this time we are focusing our patrols around Willoughby Road, Alderbury Road, Meadfield Road and surrounding areas.

Kind Regards,

PS 6957 Vicky SHEARS
