Appeal for witnesses following robbery in Wexham Road

Dear Resident

At around midday on Friday (23/2), a man entered a business premises on Wexham Road and jumped over the counter to access the till area. The offender has stolen an amount of cash and cigarettes from the till.

The offender was challenged by a member of staff, who he pushed and pinned down so they could not stop him. He ran out of the store holding a cardboard box full of cigarettes.

The victim sustained a cut to their hand, but did not require hospital treatment.

The offender is described as a black man, around 5ft 2ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a nude coloured tracksuit, trainers and gloves. He also wore a silky black snood that covered the bottom half of his face.

We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident or who has dash-cam or phone footage from the area around the time that it happened or saw the direction in which the offender went, to please get in touch.
