Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a man has been sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment with an extended licence period of four years after he was convicted of inflicting grievous bodily harm in Faringdon. Richard Piercy, aged 35, of Lansdown Road, Faringdon, pleaded guilty to section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent in a hearing at Oxford Crown Court on 14 August. Returning to the same court on Friday (10/11), Piercy was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment with an extended licence period of four years.
